Simulator Maintenance Technician

Job Description The Simulator Maintenance Technician (Sim Tech) will be based at Burgess Hill, West Sussex and will report direct to the Training Centre Maintenance Manager (TCMM). The Sim Tech role involves day to day running and proactive maintenance of up to four commercial Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and Fixed Based Trainers based at our Burgess Hill Training Facility. The Sim Tech will be required, in the execution of their duties, to comply with regulatory requirements and work in accordance with the procedures applicable to their tasks. Any potential for non-compliance or the introduction of a hazard or risk will need to be reported to the TCMM, as well as recommendations for improvements to procedure or process. The Sim Tech is also required to make themselves familiar with, and comply with, all QSL Health and Safety procedures and complete all courses in a reasonable time when requested. The Sim Tech will familiarise themselves with risk assessments, method statements, COSHH procedures, LockOut TagOut etc. The Sim Tech will be trained in alignment with their role and responsibilities as per the Company training matrix. They shall be trained in the Company Safety Management System to the level defined on the training requirements matrix for their role, and any specific health and safety responsibilities.
