A new chapter has began for ER-BAM. The Boeing 747-400F freighter has taken to the skies in its new full AIR ONE livery, marking another milestone in the continued development of the AIR ONE fleet.
The aircraft has completed its first flight in its new colours, bringing the distinctive AIR ONE identity to the skies upon one of it’s dedicated cargo aircraft.
The paint is new. The operation isn’t.
The Boeing 747-400F: built for cargo
Operated by AeroTransCargo, ER-BAM is a Boeing 747-400F, a dedicated widebody freighter used to transport cargo across the globe. With its distinctive upper-deck profile, four-engine configuration and large payload, the 747-400F remains essential within the air cargo industry.
For freight forwarders and other customers, dedicated freighter aircraft such as the 747-400F provide the long haul capabilities, capacity and operational flexibility needed to move cargo across international markets.
Return to service
ER-BAM returned to service on 25 August following a C04 Check and additional scheduled maintenance. During this time, a full repaint into the new AIR ONE livery also took place.
ER-BAM is the first aircraft in our fleet to wear the new livery, making its return to service a particularly significant moment for AIR ONE. One of the aircrafts first flights took it to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), Dubai World Central (DWC) and East Midlands Airport (EMA). We support the movement of cargo along this key trade route regularly, and have established operations connecting Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
But this is far from our only route. We recently flew to Nepal, to deliver critical aid from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu on 13 September. Having navigated operational hurdles, from a constrained single-runway airfield to the high elevation at Kathmandu, we delivered food and medicine. With some roads completely washed away, it was only possible to reach those most affected with humanitarian relief by air.
AIR ONE’s combined freighter fleet
ER-BAM is part of AIR ONE’s fleet of 13 dedicated widebody freighters, which includes both Boeing 747F and Boeing 777F aircraft.
Together, these aircraft support AIR ONE’s international cargo operations, providing capacity for scheduled services and charter operations.
