Supervisor – Finance, Planning & Analyses

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Functionally – Group CFO

Role Purpose

To provide strategic and operational leadership for all financial functions of the MRO business. This role is critical for ensuring sustainable financial health, rigorous regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment with the organization’s long-term goals. The Manager will champion financial planning, cost controls, treasury, and risk management, while driving digital transformation and acting as a key business partner to enable growth, profitability, and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
• Deliver and provide meaningful variance analysis and actionable recommendations to management to drive performance
• Develop, establish, and monitor KPIs and dashboards to track financial and operational performance.
• Develop robust financial models and contingency plans to mitigate risks and address potential financial disruptions.

Accounting, Controls & Compliance

• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of all financial reporting, including monthly
• management accounts, annual statutory accounts, and regulatory filings.
• Guarantee full compliance with all UAE financial regulations, including VAT, FTA, corporate tax, and specific aviation sector requirements.
• Maintain a robust internal control and governance frameworks, including risk and fraud prevention measures
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring transparent processes and successful outcomes

Business Support & Performance Management

• Provide comprehensive financial analysis and modelling to support business cases, capital expenditure decisions, equipment investments, and major contract evaluations.
• Identify, lead, and implement cost-efficiency initiatives across maintenance operations, supply chain, and procurement functions
• Support pricing and profitability analysis for MRO services.

Treasury & Working Capital Management

• Manage all aspects of cash flow, liquidity, foreign exchange, and debt management
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize working capital, including the management of receivables, payables, and inventory.
• Oversee all treasury operations, including banking relationships, credit facilities, and short-term investment strategies.

Systems & Digital Transformation & Data Analytics

• Introduce analytics and business intelligence tools for enhanced financial decision-making and reporting.
• Drive the continuous optimization of the ERP and financial systems to improve process efficiency, data integrity, and user experience.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven insight across the finance function and the broader business
• Leverage MRO IT systems for real-time invoice, revenue and liability tracking and analytics

Risk & Governance

• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks including credit, currency, operational and compliance risks
• Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct in line with group policies
• Ensure robust business continuity plans are in place for all critical finance operations.

Team Leadership & People Development

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team; foster collaboration and accountability.
• Build financial acumen across non-finance managers to strengthen organizational capability
• Engage in ongoing personal/self-development to stay current with industry best practices
• Ensure succession planning and professional growth of finance staff

Undertake and perform any other duties, additional tasks and responsibilities as directed or assigned by management

Business Metrics & KPI

Financial

• Achievement of budgeted profitability, EBITDA, and cash flow targets
• Maintain strong credit ratings, creditworthiness, and financial resilience
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and closings
• Identify, initiate and deliver cost savings and financial efficiency in all areas

Operational & Compliance

• Timeliness and accuracy of management reporting and month-end close
• Successful implementation of digital/automation projects (e.g., reduced closing time)
• Development and retention of finance talent
• Positive internal & external audit outcomes and compliance record with no major findings
• High levels of internal customer satisfaction with finance business partnership

Resource Utilization

• Finance team retention rate and engagement scores.
• Successful progression and development of team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

Skills & Knowledge

• In-depth understanding of aviation/MRO industry dynamics, cost drivers, and contract structures
• High proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion) and advanced Excel skills
• Experience with BI tools is essential
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders
• Unimpeachable integrity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

Education

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
• MBA or master’s degree in finance (advantageous)

Education

• CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent international professional qualification

Experience

• 10+ years progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within aviation, aerospace, or complex MRO/manufacturing environments
• Proven track record in financial strategy, FP&A, treasury, and compliance
• Experience in M&A, joint ventures, and international deal structures
• Exposure to IFRS/GAAP, tax, and regulatory frameworks in global contexts Knowledge of IFRS and experience with vat, corporate tax and regulatory frameworks in the UAE and other countries as applicable
