Role purpose
Accountable for the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely​monthly management accounts, support budget monitoring and VAT reporting, and ensure robust financial control and compliance across the business. You’ll work closely with the CFO and Directors to support strategic decision-making and business development.​

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis of performance, trends, and variances.​
  • Support budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting against targets.​
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.​
  • Ensure accurate and timely VAT returns and compliance with tax regulations.​
  • Manage statutory accounts preparation.​
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage the year-end audit process.​
  • Ensure financial compliance through effective internal controls and process improvements.​
  • Support group reporting, including multi-currency (FX) consolidation.​
  • Provide costing analysis and support operational decision-making.​
  • Collaborate with the CFO and Directors on business development costs and new business assessments.​
  • Identify and implement system enhancements to improve efficiency and reporting.​
  • Contribute to the development of data analytics and enhanced forecasting tools.​
  • Deliver ad hoc reporting, project work, and cost analysis/reduction reviews.

Key skills, qualifications & experience required:

  • ACA, ACMI or ACCA qualified with 3–5 years PQE.​
  • Experience in a Senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller role required.​
  • Previous experience in the Aviation industry is highly desirable.​
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, group reporting, and multi-currency environments.​
  • Proven experience in cash flow management, costing, and variance analysis.​
  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite is advantageous.​
  • Good people management skills.​
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.​
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems and reporting tools.​
  • Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.​
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.​
  • Must currently ​reside​ and have the full right to work in the UK ​and within commuting distance of the Head Office in Hampton Wick.

Any additional relevant information:
This role will be based in our Head Office in Hampton Wick, typically working from the office Monday to Thursdays and Fridays from home. ​
